Five of the 16 talented researchers who have received grants as Villum Young Investigator 2022 are from DTU.
Yi Yu, Thomas Christensen and Lars Søgaard Rishøj all receive the coveted grant from the Velux Foundations.
Senior Researcher at DTU Fotonik Yi Yu has published a paper in the high-impact journal Optica. The paper describes a theoretical proposal and experimental demonstration of a new approach to generating long-range interaction between quantum emitters. In this article, he answers four questions about the paper.
Scientists from DTU have shown that a Fano laser, a new type of microscopic laser, has fundamental advantages compared to other types of lasers. The discovery can be important for many future applications, such as integrated photonics, interfacing of electronics and photonics, and optical sensors.
